During the winter holidays, some of you might spend a lot of time playing video games online. However, you won't be able to do this anymore.

Many parents feel very happy about the new rules. They expect the rules will stop their kids spending too much time on video games. Starting from September 1st, minors(未成年人) have only an hour of playing time between 8 p. m. and 9 p. m. on Fridays, weekends and public holidays.  The online game companies(公司) must also make sure that minors use their real names when they play games.

In 2019, it made rules to ask minors to play online games for less than 1.5 hours on weekdays and 3 hours on weekends and holidays.

Some people agree with them, while others are surprised at how strict the rules are. "Children have little control(控制) over themselves, so they need guidance and monitoring(监管)," one user wrote on Sina Weibo.  "What if kids use their parents' names and information?" asked another Weibo user. Maybe parents and schools should work together to make sure the rules are followed.

A. There are also some other worries.

B. Teachers agree with the rules, too.

C. The new rules are quickly under discussion.

D. Minors cannot get service at any other time.

E. These days, China made new rules that cut online gaming time for under-18s.

F. However, this isn't the first time that China has rules about gaming time for minors.

Almost every Chinese can recite(背诵) the two lines of the famous poem(诗), "Every grain(谷粒)on the plate comes from hard work ". This means we should save the food we have. Saving is also important in Chinese culture. But sadly many of us don't understand the real meaning of these words: Don't waste(浪费) food.

A CCTV program reported that the food Chinese people waste every year is enough to feed 200 million(百万) people for a year. Do we have too much food? The UN World Food Program showed there were about 725 million hungry people around the world in 2021 and about six million children die of hunger every year. If we waste less food, we will have more money to help more hungry children.

Chinese people are famous for being friendly and generous(慷慨). Many even feel that they will lose face if their friends eat all the food on the table. So it's common for the host family to prepare more dishes than all the guests can eat. Luckily, more and more people know the importance of saving food. As students, what should we do?

⒈ Don't order too much in a restaurant. Only order as much as you want to eat. If you cannot eat all the food you order, take the rest of it home.

⒉ Don't leave any food in your bowls when having meals.

⒊ Keep an eye on what food you have at home.

If we don't save food, more hungry people will die. Don't wait anymore! It's the right time for us to get started. Let's save food together right now!
