Have you ever imagined going inside of a video game? That dream may soon become a reality（现实）. It's called the "metaverse".

The metaverse is a shared online 3D world which is considered as the future of the Internet. Instead of being on a computer, in the metaverse you might use a VR headset to enter a virtual world connecting all kinds of environments. It will feel real because the technology can simulate（模拟） our senses: sight, hearing, touch, and even smell. 

So, what can you do inside of the metaverse? Anything you want! You can meet other people wherever they are. Your location will no longer matter. In the metaverse, people would be connected at all times. So, if you are bored and can't find any friends to play basketball with, don't worry. Just jump into the metaverse and join a game.

The metaverse doesn't just connect people. It creates a new space, full of places to explore（探索）. Are you tired of visiting the same beach every year? Forget Sanya. Meet your friends in the metaverse and go to a beach on the moon-or anywhere else you can imagine. Once you're there, you can do more than just swim in the water. You can fly over the sand or dive to the bottom of the sea. You can ride horses, or better yet, dinosaurs!

Cathy Hackle, an expert in metaverse technology, said her son's first concert was inside of a video game. "Just because it happened in a video game, it didn't make it less real for him, " she said.

Perhaps the metaverse will change our idea of what is real. 

①Everyone knows that Spain is home to some crazy festivals. From throwing tomatoes at one another to burning dolls made of cardboard, wood or plastic, the Spanish festivals are quite amazing. You may not have heard of the Haro Wine Festival, but it is full of fun, too. 

②The wine festival is actually a battle of the wine, held from the 28th to the 30th of June each year in Haro, one of the most important wine-producing towns in northern Spain. The Haro Wine Festival was only announced as a festival of both national and touristic interest in 1965, but its origins（起源） could go back much further. In fact, it was way back in the early part of the 13th century. At that time, Haro had a land problem with its neighbor in a nearby area. One day, people from the two sides started throwing wine at each other to solve the problem. That day the tradition started and got the name "War of Wine".

③During the festival, the wine fight begins early in the morning on the places out of Haro. People are armed with buckets, water guns and anything that can be filled with red wine, and they pour the wine onto their friends or strangers. Everyone is supposed to wear a white shirt during the "fight", because it is easily stained （染色）. The "fight" will last for several hours until everyone's shirt becomes bright purple. They will then return to the center of the town to enjoy delicious food and drinks.

④Each year, thousands of people, locals and visitors, celebrate the festival. Maybe you can become a member of them one day. The only problem is that you will smell like wine for days after the "fight"

If you walk through a park in the morning or in the evening, you might see a lot of people doing these slow and beautiful movements—Carry the tiger over the mountain and White crane spreads its wings. In fact, they are doing Taichi. 

Taichi is an ancient martial art（武术）. It is a common kind of exercise in China. More than 100 million people in over 150 countries practice Taichi at present. Recently UNESCO（联合国教科文组织） has added Taichi to its Intangible Cultural Heritage List（非物质文化遗产名录）. Many taichi fans were happy to hear of it. "This will make taichi more popular around the world. Hopefully, more people will become healthier by practicing it. " said Chen Bin. He is a Taichi master from the village of Chenjiangou, Henan Province. This villageis the birthplace of Chen-style Taichi.

It's true that doing Taichi is good for our health. It can make us walk and move more freely, and it can also make us stronger. During slow movements, we can pay attention to our hands and feet. We can control them better: Slow movements also help us to take deep and long breaths.

Taichi also focuses on the harmony （和谐）between yin and yang. It shows how the ancient Chinese people saw the world. The world is full of yin and yang: dark and light, soft and hard, female and male. But they don't oppose（对立） each other absolutely（绝对地）. As we see in the picture, a white spot is in the black area and a black spot is in the white area. After a dark night, the sun will rise. Leaves fall in autumn but grow in spring. Everything keeps changing—that is how we should see the world. Taichi carries traditional Chinese philosophy（哲学）, such as being in harmony with nature and using softness to beat hardness. It has become a symbol of Chinese culture.

It is normal to feel a bit nervous about exams, especially if you're under pressure from school or family. And this might influence your sleeping or eating habits.

If you have any of these feelings or are worried that exam pressure is taking over your life, you are not alone. Firstly, let your trusted friends and family know if you're having a hard time, so they can be there to support you, encourage you and offer a listening ear. . Keeping it all in will only make things worse, so don't be afraid to open up.

Secondly, think about all the practical support you need, and be honest with yourself about it. You are allowed to ask for help. They may have talked to lots of students who are going through similar things, so they can give you some helpful advice. 

One more thing you can do is to be kind to yourself. Think about all the things you have achieved so far. It can be helpful to write a list of all the things you like about yourself, and the things other people value about you, too.

Road-side business has become a hot topic recently as it reflects common people's life lively.

Last weekend, 5 college students  to taste the trade pattern and difficulties of life outside school  selling vegetables on the side of the road together. 

In the morning, they had to get up at 3o'clock. First, they went to the farm near the city to buy different of vegetables. To lower the cost, they learn to bargain（讲价） with the farmers. Then they went back to the city as soon as to take up a street stall（摊位）. At about 6: 30 a. m. after putting vegetables in order and nicer ones on top, they began to sell vegetables. They peddled（吆喝） loudly actively to attract customers. When the vegetables were not sold out, they gave them to homeless people for free. Two days , they earned（挣得） about 300 yuan.

After this unusual experience, they shared their feelings with each . "We were tired, but we gained lot. Compared with hanging out, such social practice makes us learn difficult it is to make money. " said Wang Wen, who up with this idea.

In recent years, shared vegetable plots（地）have become popular. That's because more people want to be away from city life by taking up farming. For them, the All-Happy City, a shared ecological（生态的） farm in Shanghai, is a perfect place.

Built by Chen Yougui in October, 2022, the shared farm is quite big. Members of the farm can plant radish, lettuce and other vegetables. This farm has about 200 members, some of whom even raise chickens and ducks. When they aren't around during the week, they can pay the farm workers for their service of taking care of their land. It also provides members with a special place for barbecue.

Chen runs the farm with the help of modern technology. There is a system which allows members to see their vegetables through their phones. Besides, each animal comes with its own QR code（二维码）. So the chickens and ducks raised by customers don't go missing or end up in someone else's plot.

Chen says that many of his members are parents. They want to teach their kids about science and nature and how farming works. Some old people would like to grow their food as a way of relaxing. And young customers usually get close to nature, enjoy life in peace and forget pressure from the city.
